The terms on which we provide housekeeping and related services.
Before launch
This page is a structural placeholder and must be completed before launch. Service terms for a retained consumer contract in England and Wales should be drafted or reviewed by a solicitor — consumer cancellation rights alone are easy to get wrong and expensive to get wrong.
What these terms should cover
- Who the contract is with, and how an arrangement is formed and varied
- The written specification, and how changes to it are agreed
- Frequency, minimum commitment, and how either party ends the arrangement
- Fees, billing cycle, payment terms and what the monthly figure includes
- Access and key-holding arrangements, and the client's obligations
- Liability, insurance, and the process for reporting and resolving damage
- Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
- Non-solicitation of staff, if you intend to rely on one — these clauses need care to be enforceable
- Complaints procedure and governing law
